Leveraging a well-developed background in finance, accounting, and city planning and development, Ian offers an unsurpassed level of professionalism and expertise to Sedona Elite Properties Management. He began his career with Sedona Elite upon arrival to Sedona in 2012 at which time he was the acting financial controller for the company. Seeing how interconnected the back end of the business was to the front end he sat for his Arizona salesperson real estate license, a move that allowed him to see the full picture of the business.
Prior to joining SEPMI Ian added value as a staff auditor with The Kroger Co. during which time he reviewed internal controls for SOX compliance and oversaw teams of field auditors preparing SOX reports for third-party independent auditors. From examining, analyzing, and verifying the company’s operational and financial activities, to ensuring adherence to compliance regulations and guidelines, Ian was instrumental in identifying potential risk areas for the company in an effort to avoid legal and financial issues.
Following his tenure at Sedona Elite Properties Management, Inc. under its founder Tina Nelson, Ian ventured out to begin understanding the sales market in Sedona and the greater Verde Valley in late 2015, something he did with well renowned real estate brokerage firm Berkshire Hathaway.
Ian completed his Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Cincinnati and a separately conferred Master of Science in City and Regional Planning from Ohio State University. Ian holds a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies and Spanish from Rutgers University’s Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy.
As the new owner of Sedona Elite Properties Management, Ian intends to continue to offer unparalleled service to its management clients, something he learned from his mentor and the company’s former owner. In addition to management services, Ian intends to grow the business into a full-service brokerage thus allowing clients the opportunity to buy, manage, and sell real estate under one roof.
